They Come at Night
HELLO!
First of all, Happy New Year to everybody. I hope you all had a great holiday. Just realized I last uploaded something many months ago! I was away from my personal work for quite some time due to a busy schedule with my full-time studio job, but I have been cooking this story on my own for the last couple of months. I thought of making an animatic based on the seed of a concept I had in my head for a long time. I have been a fan of the content of ALTER ( a platform for independent horror film makers ) for a long time, and their short horror stories are brilliant and inspired me. Those who know me can attest that my go-to genre is Horror, and it gives me great joy working on something on that theme or adult/mature content in general. I planned to make something short but effective, and after making numerous thumbnails, doing loads of re-takes, and scraping many shots, I finally storyboarded this piece. It was more of a prelude to a story I'd never thought of, but it might kickstart to a horror-themed animated film/series ( who knows! ) Anyywaaays, here's the piece I worked on called "They Come at Night" and hope you guys enjoy. Underwater Exploration
Done this short storyboard sequence for an animated underwater exploration video for a client. They didn't provide me any audio sounds for dialogues so I had to show it in subtitle format. It's a fun script to work on. Hope you will enjoy. :)
Music Video
So this is a small animatic of a music video I've made probably 4 years back but sadly it's still remain unfinished. I was actually planning to make something for my own storyboard portfolio, thought not to make anything more than a minute. Then suddenly bumped into this wonderful track of Stateless called "Bloodstream" and this whole story which my friend Soumali penned down long back kinda fit into that perfectly. A huge shout out to her for conceptualize the whole thing. May be someday I'll finish it, who knows? Anyways posting my storyboard work for the first time here, for a change. Hope you guys will like it.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre ( Opening sequence reimagined)
So I had this seed idea of a teaser trailer or an opening sequence of the classic horror The Texas Chainsaw Massacre which is been titillating my brain for awhile. Being an ardent horror fan I just wanted to make something very short, preferably under a minute. Did this board in between my office work which took roughly 2-3 weeks from the planning till end. Just my homage to the classic horror franchise. Hope you dig it.
The Freak Brothers (Season 2)
These are some of the rough boards I did for the second season of Tubi Original "The Freak Brothers" last year. We got to work on the boards only for 3 months for the entire season. Even though we worked on a very tight deadlines, we had a lot of fun, specially during episode launches and board pitch meetings cuz' you won't get to work on an adult comedy show like that very often. Unicorn Academy ( Season 1)
Got to work on this fun challenging project 2 years back in House of Cool. And now the season 1 is on Netflix!! How about that? Did this rough board for a sequence during that time. Will upload some more boards slowly. Hope you guys enjoyed the show. Cheers!
Care Bears ( Specials)
Worked on The Care Bears Specials while I was in The Copernicus Studio last year. Fun gig but too bad we had to wrap up a bunch of episodes in a very short amount of time. I'm happy the way it turned out at the end. Hope you will enjoy. Cheers.
Red Ketchup (Test)
Got a chance to give a small storyboard test for the animated series "Red Ketchup" produced by The Sphere Animation, Montreal, sometime in 2022. Unfortunately, didn't land on the gig but now since the show is released, thought to share my test. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.
